yes, speedzone we met again.

i reckon last years music choice was better.

but this years set up was better and they had fireworks.

i know ive been a major epic fail at blogging

i dont know how some people can update theirs everyday, few times a day..when i find it hard to blog once a week even.. hahah

Its been a tough few weeks for me... searching for the right internship.. coping with er malay.. okay not really coping.. just got to attend it.. and some personal dramas with my heart.

Anyway i had a lovely family getaway to Singapore.. first family holiday since er 96? heh

with my mum , grandma and dad.. we stayed at Marina Bay Sands! it was truly lovely! (above pic)

besides that... i havent really been a happening person.. like the weekend comes.. and its not TGIF anymore..but.. oh okay weekend........ now what? hahaha

everyone was quite fascinated with this random out of the ordinary pink fondue

these are my dipped starfruits.

hm, honestly nothing to really brag about.

feel that the buffet there has dropped in standard

the food selection was massive though

from Chinese, Indian, Western, Japanese to Fusion

but yeaaaa..

oh its RM99 per person

and my dear cousin cheryl ate the triangle shaped RM2.00 nasi lemak bunkus and 2 rounds of salad and some dessert. LOL

everyone was making fun of her saying she ate like RM10 worth out of RM 99

Nevertheless a good environment to just chill with family, friends and loved ones

open till 3pm.. so go early and start stuffing yourselves :D

i really do miss melbourne!

now that my housemate is back in KL and our 2010 is .. vacant O_O

my melbourne memories have somewhat perished.

when will i go back there?

i miss everything that happened over there!

even when paaauu came over..

those were the unforgettable memories!

im glad it happened but sad its now officially over

because our apartment number happened to be 2010 in the year 2010

it was defo a sign that it was our year!

i saw the video of the poodle being abused by its skinny scronny ugly ah beng owner and girlfriend.

its currently all over facebook but the video has been taken down

however apparently they have found the two cruel inhuman couple

when i saw the video, i was appalled just 2 minutes into the video and i felt so heartbroken i had to stop the video

i have poodles of my own and i love them very very much and cant imagine hurting them in any way. So the couple who have nicely abused the poor poodle seriously DOES NOT DESERVE TO GET AWAY UNPUNISHED.

im sure everyone is as enraged at this situation as i am

i personally cannot tolerate people who treat animals thiis way

so the skinny malnourished ah beng deserves his fcking arms chopped off and forced to stand on his face on a rough concrete floor.

What i love about going to bed here is that ive got a heater IN my bed.. yes in..

The year 2010 has been a whirlwind of a year for me..

in a nutshell, 2010 has been a really fun but challenging year for me.

i wouldnt say it was the easiest because i did go through some challenges as well

i was busy exploring who i was and what i wanted

i did my studies accordingly and i did party er more than i probably should have

but i learnt from everything and grew as a person and above all got to know myself better.

Checking the weather on a daily basis has never been a routine for me.

Its basically sunny all year round in KL... maybe a few crazy thunderstorms and lots of rain is the most we would get.

However, coming to Melbourne 6 months ago made me realize how important it is to READ THE WEATHER REPORT (or at least download a weather app [an accurate weather app]).

You wake up in the morn, step out on the balcony to check the weather is absolutely useless. Because :

1) when you get out of your house and encounter the melbourne wind, the temperature WILL drop by a good 5degrees,

2) just because it looks sunny and beautiful, thats pure bullshit... your about to experience 4 seasons in one day... so please wear layers cuz youll be taking it out and putting it on the whole dam day.

I also noticed how the weather seriously affects my mood. Im just NOT a winter person at all.. so when i first got here.. yea you could have guessed it was pretty gloomy... the wind, the rainy snowy thing, the dont-feel-like-doing-anything-emo thing. I was very much looking forward to September because... 01 September is the designated date for Spring to arrive.. So 01/09 passes, 08/09 passes.... and WTF its still so dam cold.. one fine day.. suddenly super hot... 20 plus degrees..

FINALLY spring?!?!

erm no false alarm.. and were back into winter. Its been going on like that for the longest time. Now that its ENDING of Nov which means End of SPRING.. its finally getting hot.. at least for these 2 days its been quite burning.. So that means the weather conveniently forgot spring and jumped to summer.. and apparently fall and spring are not apparent in Melbourne.

Not that i really love the cold weather.. but i guess with so much of the battling.. i will kinda miss the cold.... kinda. BUT ill be off to japan soon .. so.. Winter again.

My stay in melbourne has been a very interesting one.

I've got to experience all kinda things, make mistakes, learn and grow the fck up.

I'll definitely miss this place... so much memories in such a short period.

Im going to miss all the freedom in the world.

Theres a good and bad side to this.

The good side.. sure you dont have to be home any day any time regardless of tomorrows schedule.. you dont have anyone watching your back and telling you to go to school.. eventhough i did faithfully attend my classes..

Its bad because i think you lose yourself a bit here and there.. and you finally see how lonely you can be. You also see how shit this world is and how you've always been in your comfort bubble where all bad things bounces off that bubble. He he he....

and not forgetting Bubble, it self.

With so much you can do with no eyes watching you, it sure is hard to balance assignment, exams and so on but i did well suprisngly...study hard..party harder ? haha

Not to say Melbourne has lots of good food to eat.

I do really miss KL food.

But i gotta give it to some junk like GOLDEN GAYTIME , Chicken in a biskit, Nutty Crunch, Shapes and so much more.... i love them.

I have never snacked so much in my entire life..

Because its so cold, you just wanna eat something every moment!

Also even though i live in the city, food is not available 24hours like KL... and so because of our crazy nocturnal insomniac selves, we get hungry at odd hours like 3am and so on. This is when the snack monsters come out.. sigh.

I guess we managed to get comfortable with a few restaurants that we go to regularly and i guess imma miss having certain cravings for food like GyuTanDon or Kebab or Pho noodles or Freddo's ice cream, or Ying Thai or EasyWay or Boost and etc..

Also having this lack of food supply has forced me to learn how to cook ... stuff. Lol.

A good breakfast i can easily whip out now: Toast bread with Omelette, Bacon cheese or ham sandwich with hashbrowns on the side.. YUM!

and my housemate and i have learned to cook random veg and meat and soup every now and then. We have 3 Basic sauce: 1) Sesame Oil 2) Dark Soy Sauce 3) Oyster sauce. So basically everything we eat are around that range.. hahaha.. We managed to cook quite good French Onion Soup and other food ventures which turned out successful.

Im even going to miss the Nando's opposite my house. It has served me well... all the chicken i ate. hahaha. I know they have Nando's back home but something about the one opposite my house... the waiters are all to dam nice! and understanding when my mind is a little off. he he .. he.

Im so going to miss my indoor pool with the see-through roof and awesome ass jacuzzi.

Im going to miss my Mattress which i already sold off today! (Thx to GumTree!)

Im going to miss the EXTREME TERMINATOR. :((((

Im going to miss going everywhere with the dam tram.

Im going to miss my ciaotoots housemate :P

Im going to miss everything i turned into a routine here in Melbourne.

But i guess all good things come to an end.

This is just another part of my life im about to close and move on.

Phew.

That was a super long post.. havent done that in awhile.. feels kinda good. :)

ps. i wont miss their ridiculously expensive ciggs.

Hello SPRING.

i've missed the HOT weather so much that i walked all the way from my house to melbourne uni which is if you dont know.. quite far!

Of course being the crazy Melbourne the weather is not yet stable Spring weather.

in the AMs everyone (who is normal) sleeps and you, you are left alone with all these thoughts wandering in your brain and sometimes you get sudden realizations.

this is me this morning.

Ive realized that no matter how much im going to be telling you about how i feel and how people dont understand.. you just wont ever get it because you were never me and never will be me . Vice versa i wont ever understand you fully either. i can try.. but thats as far as i can go.

At times like this i thank God for time difference because its in the afternoon or evening for the LA time zone .. which means i get to catch up with one of my BFF Miki.. while talking to her i realized how much i really do miss her because shes the one friend that i can really relate to and who i know almost fully understands me.

So what happens when you get so used to something that when its gone you'll suddenly be lost, you dont know what to do anymore..heh. this gave me another realization about myself which i cannot disclose here.

hello dieded blog!

Ive been uber busy with moving to my new apartment... which im loving!!! and life is once again starting to throw itself at me... with bills to pay, groceries to shop for, assignments building up, readings to read for class, catching up with the world and etc. Oh and i just got my internet set up...finally... tonight is the only night where i decided to sit down to catch up on readings... i've got literally 4weeks worth of readings to catch up on.. for 3 units.. thats crazy! i've only conquered like one week for one unit.. and its already approaching 3am. And im blogging. ahh wtf. AND im hungraayy.. again! just checked my last tweet when i tweeted "yay chinese food".. that was 8 hours ago!! no wonder im so mafcking hungraaay.... now what? back to reading..

In loving memory,

Benjamin McKay was my lecturer for FTV1050 in Monash Sunway

He is the most lively, funniest, fun, motivated lecturer in Monash..

i enjoyed his classes very much.. and he gave me my first Distinction in uni

not to mention, boosted my interest for film studies

i am so saddened by this sudden news and can't get over it

he wrote me my recommendation letter to come here to study in Melbourne and made it sound so nice as if i was a real "star" student.. hehe

He also helped me and my cousin, Cheryl a lot with my bitchy lecturer who we had a fight with.. he was very comforting.. and sigh!

anyway.. he was always very sporting, like the time when Mr Wong Chin Huat (my journalism lecturer) got arrested for sedition.. there was a protest going on outside uni and Dr Ben took us to the protest to watch (and we skipped like half the class).. he was being so supportive haha..

Anyway.. news travel fast.. its all over facebook and twitter now..

and i found out that he hit his head and had internal bleeding in his apartment this morning..

seriously, bad things happen to good people

hello how are you today.

Just when i thought i was getting used to this weather ..

im freezing my ass off again.

i stayed home for 3 days straight! im officially in hibernation mode..

Thing is i live (at the moment) at this faraway suburb called Caulfield.

Its dark by 5pm, everything closes by 5pm..

the last train is at 12 .

So technically if you dont start your day in the early AMs ..

you are hailatz..

my last three days have been starting quite late..:( it was too cold and then laziness kicks in.. ohmy dont you just hate winter?

Might i add.. theres some weird internet CAP thing which means you got a limit on how much you can use each month.. (WTF).. and "nonpeak" hours are after midnight till 4am.. what the crap right.. that means you can only freely browse the internet after 12 :( and my roommate and i probably used it up and now the internet is soooooooooo sloooooooooooow.

OMFG damn CBF to use the internet weii!

not only that, the TV is uber boring... its all like some oldies TV some 1920s shit.. or something lame which dont make sense!!

argh..

urgh. so yea thats my life in MELBS..

Hello! Exams are finally over..

The last paper was super hard.. but whatever.

Anyway im about to start a new life ... soon..

at times like this i dont know what to do..

ive picked up the bad habit again of sleeping so-called early and waking up at odd hours like these.

It was only cuz i had assignment..

oh it was a crazy night indeed..

my brain was constantly trying to cough out words just to fulfill the assignment..

managed to hand it up at 445pm (Due date is 5pm).

Anyway, its my second last major assignment till the assignment phase is over..

currently pondering if i should go ahead and start my other one..

a part of me says i should since.. its going to be last min work again... but a part of me just wants to relaxx.. sigh.

it feeels very quiet tonight as well..

The carnival had a good turn up.. a lot of people.. and more activities than i thought.. only down part.. the SUN was really TOO intense.. after my performance i was soaked! EW

thing is, the audience were REALLY close to us it was kind of weird.. to perform in that situation where everyone just gathers around LOL

oh hello.

just getting back into the whole groove of being in uni again

since i had a full-on 3 months holiday i forgot how tiring uni can be..

Its not like i have classes from morn to night.. but somehow the whole process of being in class and the heat of walking around uni.. and the stress of the work load tires the fuck out of me.

and i hate it!

Its a friday night and im feeling sleepy at this hour.. how weird.

one of the most amazing nights ever!

Its awesome listening to them on headphones.. but listenin to them LIVE is orgasmic.
